Flip & Match: Matching Pairs

The short version

Flip & Match collects no personal data. The game works entirely offline. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Everything you do in the game — progress, player profiles, custom card packs, photos — stays on your device and never leaves it.

What is stored — and where

The game saves the following only on your device:

  • Game progress: levels, stars, scores, badges, streaks, and statistics.
  • Settings: language, theme, sound, and accessibility options.
  • Local player profiles: a name you type and an avatar you pick. These exist only inside the app on this device.
  • Custom card packs: photos you choose are resized and stored inside the app's private folder on this device. They are never uploaded anywhere.
  • Coin balance and purchase entitlements.

We run no servers. There is nowhere for this data to be sent, and we cannot see any of it.

Permissions the app may ask for

  • Photo library (read) — only when you create a custom card pack from your own photos. The photos stay on the device.
  • Camera — only if you choose to take a new photo for a custom pack.
  • Photo library (add only) — only when you tap “Save to Photos” on a result card. The app adds that one image and cannot read your library.

Every permission is optional. Declining any of them never blocks you from playing or from earning in-game rewards.

Advertising

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. We configure AdMob for a child-directed audience:

  • Ads are non-personalized — they are chosen without behavioral profiles.
  • The maximum ad content rating is G (suitable for general audiences).
  • Google is signalled to apply its child-directed treatment.
  • Ads never appear on the playing board; rewarded ads play only when you choose to watch them.

To deliver and measure ads, Google may process device information such as the device model, IP address, and advertising identifiers, under Google's own policies:

Buying Remove Ads removes all banner and full-screen ads permanently.

Purchases

In-app purchases (coin packs and Remove Ads) are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. The app never sees your name, card number, or billing details — it only receives confirmation that a purchase completed, so it can grant the item.

Sharing & backups

If you share a result card or a backup file, the app hands it to your device's system share sheet — you choose where it goes, and the app is not told the destination. Backup files (.fmb) are created locally and travel only where you send them.

Children's privacy

Flip & Match is designed to be safe for players aged 4 and up. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children; shows only non-personalized, G-rated ads; contains no social network integrations, no chat, and no external links inside the play experience beyond the store pages required by the platforms.

Deleting your data

All data lives on your device, so you are always in control:

  • Settings → Data & backup → Erase progress wipes progress inside the app.
  • Uninstalling the app permanently deletes everything it stored.

Because we hold no copies, there is nothing for us to delete on any server.

Changes & contact

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
